Business development assistant

ESN would like to appoint a confident, hands-on Business development assistant to support a busy team working on the preparation of competitive tenders for communication contracts. 



The role consists of the following activities:

  • Maintenance of the company’s repository of CVs and preparation of golden paragraphs / biographies (usually in English)
  • Analysis of the administrative requirements of tenders and ensuring ESN’s documents are available and up to date in time for tender submission
  • Liaising with partners and subcontractors to ensure the necessary documents are available and correct in time for tender submission
  • Managing the flow of references within the ESN – ensuring these are up to date and ready to be used in a tender 
  • Preparation of the administrative elements of tenders including responsibility for collecting and preparing the different inputs
  • Final production of tenders, including physical production and dispatch
  • Other administrative, clerical and secretarial support for the Business Development team


We are looking for a motivated individual with a proven ability to master complex administrative tasks. She or he must be dependable, well-organised and meticulous, and should enjoy maintaining and developing efficient information management systems.

Essential characteristics (please do not apply if you do not match all of these):

  • Good coordination skills 
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Advanced knowledge of MS-Office software – especially Word and Excel
  • Ability to stay cool under the pressure of tight deadlines

Desirable characteristics:

  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial tendering and/or public procurement
  • Relevant academic qualifications
