Each year, the European Commission’s DG RTD publishes a comprehensive report on the Science, Research and Innovation Performance of the EU. The report assesses Europe’s progress in the areas of science, research and innovation, providing in-depth analysis in a global context.

For the 2018 version of this report, ESN carried out a range of editorial activities, including proof-reading all content, developing three infographics presenting the main outcomes, translating the executive summary into German and French, and preparing a 12-page leaflet summarising the key findings.
We also laid out the report and leaflet, including illustrations, and developed PowerPoint presentations, posters and stands in line with the overarching visual identity of the publication. Finally, our audio-visual experts created a 2-minute animated clip and teaser to promote it on DG RTD’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.

The client was so happy with our work, we were tasked with the proofreading, lay-out and overall graphic identity of the 2020 SRIP report as well, including the production of an animated video-clip.

ISICEM - Event online
ESN, together with its sister company Poplar Events, has been in charge of organising the International Symposium on Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (ISICEM) since 2013. In 2020, due to COVID-19 restrictions, ESN helped to move the event online.

The International Symposium on Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (ISICEM) is held every year in March at Square Brussels. Since 1980, it has become one of the largest events in its field and now attracts over 6 000 participants from all over the world.
Know your pollinators!
In June 2018, the Commission proposed the first-ever EU initiative to address the decline of wild pollinating insects. The aim was to improve knowledge on pollinator decline and raise awareness to engage EU citizens and promote collaboration.

Maintenance of road safety website and digital services
