Following a request from Belgium’s Flemish Government for help to modernise its websites, ESN partnered with AUSY Belgium to design a new toolkit intended to support communication staff in launching and maintaining digital content without the need for IT specialists. Thus, the Paddle Content Management System (Paddle CMS) was born.
The Paddle team developed a user-friendly platform that offers a wide range of functionalities, such as a drag-and-drop interface, content editing, and apps called ‘paddlets’ (content types, Google Analytics, newsletters, advanced search pages, etc.) which deliver professional results with a simple click.
The CMS was so successful that Paddle now operates as a separate department within ESN, servicing 3 000 clients and 400 websites of all sizes. Paddle’s central platform is updated every month which means users no longer need to worry about the technical status or security of their websites.
