In the run-up to the annual EU Green Week, the Directorate-General for Environment (DG ENV) contracted ESN to update a brochure with 52 tips on how to protect biodiversity in cities. The request included updating the information, redesigning the publication, translating the content and promoting it on social media.
Our first priority was to revamp the text and visuals in order to make the brochure more appealing for schools and youth groups, and more relevant for young city-dwellers by avoiding EU jargon. Once this was accomplished, we had the booklet translated into all the official languages of the EU, and it was ready to be printed and published online.
ESN also helped DG ENV to promote the brochure by preparing 10 colourful banner images for use on social media and developing a simple board game for children. The board game was printed in 24 languages with larger versions produced specifically for events. Feast your eyes on the final result below!
